The Leila Top & Whitney Bottoms are versatile, comfortable, and easy to make. I love that they’re reversible, and the tutorial videos are super helpful. One of my favorites!
Loved the idea of this top but not the final product. I think the front band needs curved inset for the bust cups and it would be a great pattern. As is the band rumples under the curved cup piece and doesn’t look good unless you continually pull it down. The strap pieces are also very short - I almost always have to shorten straps so didn’t occur to me to cut longer.

Great pattern! Made 3 in one day, first to test the pattern on scrap stretch fabrics and then two in nylon spandex. They all ended up being wearable! One note: the bra cups have a rounded edge and the band is straight. Next time instead of easing the round edge onto the straight band, I’ll overlap the rounded part on the band and cut off the excess to avoid the bottom edge of the band looking warped. The larger your bust the more pronounced the warping.
The fit is perfect and I liked the construction instructions, looks very profesional.
I made the long line Leila out of athletic knit and powernet. I needed a plunge bra for a top and this was perfect.
